I started drawing from the time I could hold a pencil and my work is influenced by an adventurous childhood growing up on a farm on the edge of a wild wood. I attended Oakbridge Academy of Arts in New Kensington, Pa, graduating with a degree in Visual Design/Fine Art. I continued to paint for several years but didn’t really connect with the work I was doing. I took a little artistic break and focused on my physical/mental/emotional health and gradually became creative again. I started taking my sketchbook out in the wild and doing lots of observational drawing of the world around me. I took several courses from Orange Beak Studio and The Good Ship Illustration and I really connected with the world of illustration. My work is now evolving to combine fine art painting, illustration, and lots of fun experimentation, sharing my desire to communicate the beauty of life and inner growth through image and word.
When I'm not making art you can find me in the woods exploring, on an adventure, or spending time with my horse.

I hope to inspire people of all ages to look deeply at the magic in the world around(and in) them through my art. Have you ever scattered milkweed seeds for the monarchs or turned off the lights for the lightning bugs? Have you ever wondered how long a cricket sings throughout the year? Or how far a red eft travels in it's lifetime? Or where butterflies shelter when it rains?
